Guacamole is a classic southern dip made from avocado. It add a authentic touch to Mexican cuisine.


  • 6 small to medium avocadoes
  • 1/4 cup tomato grated
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, grated
  • 1/4 cup red pepper, finely diced
  • 1 / 4 cup green pepper, finely diced
  • 1/8 cup onion, grated
  • 1 clove garlic crushed (about 1/2 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • pinch of cayenne (as desired)
  • 1 / 3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp salt


Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until beginning to form a paste. Add avocados continue processing until smooth. Alternatively, one can simply mash all the ingredients together with a fork.

Additional Tips

Experiment with this recipe. Add extra garlic, or chilies; whatever you fancy.
